Parkinson’s: An Athlete’s Journey
Podcast Coming Soon
What it is:
A real, unfiltered conversation between Eric Von Frohlich (coach, strength & conditioning pioneer, Parkinson’s since 2020) and Todd Vogt (Paralympic rower with Parkinson’s). They trade notes on training, mindset, protocols, and the day-to-day realities of living—and competing—with PD. This isn’t a brochure. It’s two athletes building a beacon of hope, one honest rep at a time.
Who it’s for:
Athletes and former athletes navigating Parkinson’s (or supporting someone who is)
Coaches, trainers, and PT/OT pros who want practical insight
Anyone chasing performance and longevity while staring down adversity
Why it’s different:
Athlete lens: Performance, durability, and identity—beyond generic “stay active” advice.
Action over theory: What they tried, what worked, what flopped. No fluff.
Community first: A weekly check-in that creates momentum and belonging.
Format:
30–40 minutes. Mostly Eric + Todd in focused, theme-based episodes (think: tremor days & training, strength around meds, rowing/conditioning templates, apathy vs. action). Early arc = “get to know us” (4 episodes), then guest athletes and pros who’ve done the thing.
Topics you’ll hear:
Training around on/off windows; stacking strength + cardio for PD
Protocols & tools (from rock-steady basics to longevity/biohacking experiments)
Mindset: identity, apathy, and building consistency when dopamine dips
Community & coaching: how to ask for help, and how to show up
Cadence: Weekly. Sustainable, repeatable, and relentlessly useful.
Tagline options:
Move the body. Lead the mind.
Train the day you have.
Performance meets Parkinson’s.
